Infinity Kisses - The Movie completes Schneemann’s exploration of human and feline sensual communication. It incorporates extracts of the original 124 self-shot 35mm color slide photo sequence, Infinity Kisses, in which the expressive self-determination of the ardent cat was recorded over an eight-year period. Infinity Kisses - The Movie recomposes these images into a video, in which each dissolving frame is split between its full image and a hugely enlarged detail.

Old writer Mihailo tells his dying wife a story about lovers and romances set in different seasons. In order to keep her alive, he talks about other people's romaces, but these are supposed to revive their own love story. The heroes of his stories are couples of different age who let go into frivolty of kisses and delicate game of seduction. Mihailo's wife does not like the stories at all because there is no true moral in it - they keep running around in circles. Mihailo decides to tell a new story that should please her. The heroes of the story are young Milos and Mila. Purified by previous experience the two of them move through idealized city scenes, freed from foul play and cheating-it looks like true love can still be found.

Four independent short films comprise this quirky anthology. "Coriolis Effect" (1994) is an offbeat love story involving storm chasers. In the Oscar-nominated "Solly's Diner" (1979), a homeless man (Larry Hankin, who also directs) witnesses a holdup. "Looping" (1991) satirizes independent moviemaking. And the dialogue-free "Joe" (1997) features David Aaron Baker as a psychiatric patient searching for enlightenment.

The Movie Movie shows how the camera, editing techniques, make-up and sound can be used in film and video to deliberately manipulate our perceptions and emotions. Drama, action and slapstick humour are combined in a simple, family-oriented plot. There is no dialogue, but there is an explanatory song. Behind-the-scenes vignettes highlight the message that in a movie everything is not quite as it seems.
